Dress Dates

I have been so busy, I haven't had a chance to check out Modcloth lately. 

I did look today and found so many dresses that made me come up with dates I would like to have. 

Of course, it is still cold outside, but I can dream for the time being.

1. Picnic Date with wine and cheese

2. Surprise Date chosen by Jordan

3. RPO (Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra) Date

4. Music Concert, maybe seeing Dangerous Summer again

I love dates. I love dresses. I love dressing up.

In Need of Warm Weather

Because I live in Upstate New York, I am in desperate need of some warm weather. While perusing Shabby Apple, I found these adorable swimsuits that I have decided I would like when Jordan and I head out on vacation soon.

I have been loving one-piece bathing suits. I think that these are the most flattering on any body type. 

I'm out, going to watch a movie with Jordan.

Lazy Tatas and Vegan Chili

I love potatoes, and I have a new mission of being a vegetarian. Trying to think of the best option, I looked through my refrigerator and cupboards for dinner.

I found potatoes and Fantastic Food's Vegan Chili Mix. 

First - Make Lazy Tatas (potatoes)

Layer potato slices, butter, garlic salt

Keep layering

Add grated cheese on top

Cover with saran wrap, put in microwave for 5 minutes (or until brown on top)

Second - Make Vegan Chili Mix

(Follow instructions on the box)

Third - Layer finished potatoes, chili and grated cheese

Fourth - Eat

Monday Wish List

So I have decided since I love to shop, and do it quite often, once I make a purchase, I will make a wish list of the items that I would like to go with that one purchase. I did make this Urban Outfitters sunglass purchase a couple weeks ago, but I love them so much that I knew they would be perfect to make my wish list from.

Enwrapture Vintage

Today I decided to wake up and make some delicious coffee, eat cinnamon rolls and watch Eat, Pray Love. The movie was pretty good, especially the ends, because I am such a hopeless romantic. I felt so inspired to design after seeing the clothing at the wedding in India. 

I found these adorable Vintage Skirts/Dresses that I want to buy soon.

John French Prints

Today I was trying to find some good pictures that I want to hang in, what will be my new studio. I can't wait to get some very nice finds in the next few months.

After searching on Art.com, I found these photos by John French. I love that they are black and white, and I love the style of each of the women he was taking pictures of. 

I can't make this blog very long, because I am very tired from my day today.

Weekender

I need a vacation soon, someplace warm, preferably tropical and sunny, maybe a beach! Yesterday was a little chilly, but I was still able to take Caeden out for a walk.  He is my little man. My world most days.

But today, it started snowing, all day snowing, wet icy snow. It was in the 20s most of the day.

One thing to cheer me up was finding this leather weekender bag from Clare Vivier's shop today. The camel weekender bag would be great if Jordan and I go on an overnighter/weekend getaway in the next coming months.

Strawberry Short Cupcakes

Today I got to make cupcakes from a book I purchased over the summer called, Fun Stuff Cupcakes. These Strawberry Short Cupcakes have been calling my name since I bought strawberries last night, so I pulled out the recipe and started. They made enough for me to bring them to work tomorrow, hopefully the teams like them!

Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes

Level: Easy

Time: About an hour and fifteen minutes (total time to make and bake)

I was very excited to use my new measuring cups (Pier 1) and measuring spoons (Anthropologie)

I used cupcake liners, because I bought these adorable floral and purple gingham liners from Francescas. I unfortunately did not us whipping cream like in the recipe, but it still tasted amazing.

Suggestions: Do not use cupcake liners, because the cupcake liners pull the cupcake apart and gets very messy!

Irregular Choice

I received shoes from a friend for christmas from Irregular Choice this year, so I was super excited when I saw Irregular Choice's spring collection is out. They are so adorable, I can't wait to invest some money this year to get these shoes. I will try to post some pictures soon with my blue Spat Attack shoes.

Starting Fresh

Blog Love is turning out to be a great course! I am so glad that I started this course from RedVelvet. They have a variety of choices if you are looking for anything. The first thing I have been taught is to come up with three ideas for my blog. The first must be fashion. I love shopping, and creating outfits. Pictures will be starting soon. I will have a ebay shop open within the next few weeks. 

My next topic is home. I love decorating and creating items with my man. We are making letter holders, tables, cabinets, etc. This will show you a look into our life as woodworkers/diyers.

My last is cooking and baking. I love sweets and trying to cook. When speaking with my man, he said why not cooking and showing your own recipes.
