New apartment = new things

It's about that time for me to be constantly busy. I love being busy but I cannot wait to have that place I can go to where the world can just even for a few moments. Some place where I can pause.

I have been scouring the sites to see what new items have come out that I can place into my new room.

Woodland Garden Curtain

What Happened? & Moustache Bandages (Margaret would go through these in the first week <3)

I'm sorry it took me this long

It seems like it has been forever since I last wrote. Even though it hasn't been forever it has been about 2 months. I have been going through a rough patch with many changes over the past couple of months, but I am back.

I can't wait to catch up and keep posting looks, food and flea market home finds. I am going to be traveling this winter, which will hopefully give me some new backdrops for you all.

While I haven't been actually taking pictures lately, I have been browsing for fall shopping! We were getting some cold weather here in NY, so I had pulled out sweaters and tights, but today we had a warm day, so I could wear shorts! I was so very excited, but the cold weather is coming. I can't wait to start wearing some of my pretty tights I bought last year.

Here is a look that I was inspired by thinking of my past with a modern twist. When I was younger I used to want to be just like Shirley Temple. I loved her looks and I wanted some day to dress like her because she was so beautiful and they had such great fashion back then.

Work In Progress

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I went missing for about a week or so, it was a very hectic week and a half. My best friends got married this weekend and we had a lot of crafting to do, parties to have, and fun.

I just got back into some quilting and it is a great feeling. I love crafting, but Amanda's wedding pushed me more towards making some quilts for this winter.

Here are some pictures of Caeden and I today.

The Sun Will FInd You Underneath Your Skin

A couple weeks ago I went to the annual Corn Hill Arts Festival and walked around in the scorching heat trying to find something interesting to take home. I came across quite a few items that I wanted, but nothing that I could see making the purchase for, that is until I saw the booth for Excessary. They had this adorable dress that I couldn't help but walk up to. As soon as I saw the dress up close and felt the material I knew it would come handy in during a hot day. It's also based out of Rochester, which I thought was great.

Today was one of those days.

The dress is perfectly thin, cut just right and has this adorable exposed zipper which is my favorite.

This is a city for not sleeping

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to show everyone this great pairing that I stumbled across today. I love when I 'stumble' across things, I get so excited.

Found Jeffrey Campbell Shoes through here.

Found Tea Glass Pocket Watch through here.

I have been very sad lately that I am unable to charge my battery for my camera, as I have been wearing quite a bit of my thrift finds lately. Hopefully the camera will be up and running tomorrow with some new outfit posts for you.

How is your summer going? Doing anything fun?

Jewels

I love jewelry and am so excited that I have my jewelry rack from Urban Outfitters that Jordan bought my for Christmas, that I have been unable to use because I didn't know where to put it.

Summer Weather

I am so happy that the weather has turned around in New York and it's turning more into a shorts, skirts and dresses season that pants and sweaters! I was looking at my dresses yesterday to see what might fit for this weather.

I stumbled upon this site and found it had some very cute summery dresses, great for a possible beach trip.

Check out more summer dresses. Also, I may be updating with some new summer dresses in the coming weeks, because there may be a beach weekend trip coming. Not coming soon enough though!

Thanks,
Tabatha

Vintage Fashion Retro

I am lacking in my party dresses, so I began my hunt for some stunning party dresses for what I hope to be a party hosting summer at the new apartment. I love those one of a kind dresses, which is why I look to vintage shops and homemade websites, such as Etsy. I stopped and awed over these dresses I found through Vintage Fashion Retro. The dress designs and prints are gorgeous, and it helps that I love Van Gogh. It is almost like a Van Gogh Le Sac Dress. I don't just want these dresses, I need them, and will get at least one!

Have a great Fourth of July!

Bird Houses

When we moved in to our new house, the front already had these pretty flowers put out by the neighbor, so we were trying to think of something else to do on the hook that hangs in the front/right side of our door. I was thinking about getting a hanging flower plant, but then this morning I was thinking having a bird house would be so nice and we could have plants on the left side of our apartment instead! I decided to look on Etsy to find some potential bird houses that I can get next week.

Patriotic

With July 4th, right around the corner, I am getting very excited for food, fireworks at the lake, and having a three-day weekend. Jordan and I have been going to a lake near by for fireworks, it's always packed, hard to pull out of the parking lots, and normally the fireworks don't last that long, but I love spending that time with him and other friends, watching pretty colors light up the nighttime sky.

I was trying to come up with some outfit ideas and it just happened that I picked out white, pinkish/red, and blue colors. I thought what a better way than to show you what I would like to wear this Monday.

Autumn Weather in New York

The weather here in New York has been rainy and cold. It has been hard for us to do anything, but stay in and watch netflix movies. I do love good 'autumn' weather clothes. Here are some of my favorite choices that I would love to purchase for this colder weather.

 Irregular Choices: Longer Lashes Boots

Top Shop: Cream Faux Fur Gilet

J.Crew: Belstaff® new broad bomber jacket

Satchels

I am in serious need of some new bags. After putting all my purses together in the new closet, I realized I am missing some amazing colors that shops have out there. I opened up ASOS and found that they have some great satchels, that I would love to have!!

Menswear

I am one for guy humor. I love the straight out ridiculous humor that guys have, which may be why Jordan and I get along so well. With that being said, I am sad to hear that Ryan Dunn has died, such a sad day for Jackass fans.

I have decided that I wanted to look for some menswear, my way of "suiting up."

Stripes

I am attending a wedding this weekend and am still unsure what dress I should wear... Should I buy a new one or should I wear a dress I already have?! If I buy some new ones, here are some lovely choices I picked as I have been in a mood for stripes. Everyone seems to be wearing stripes lately and it makes me jealous because I don't have very many stripes.

Red Checks

I just got home from a great bike ride along the canal with Jordan. I was riding to see how long/hard it would be to get to my job, and for Jordan to make sure it was safe for me. It only took us about 45 minutes to get almost there, which is a perfect morning ride, don't you think?

Today it was quite chilly in the New York, so I wore this adorable button down shirt I got from Fancy Treehouse, plus a red sweater (not pictured) for the bike ride.

Summer is Wedding Season!

With the wedding season approaches, I am ready to purchase some dresses for these wonderful occasions. I love going to weddings and seeing two people make the wonderful commitment to one another.

Three beautiful dresses from BHLDN. I had a hard time choosing just three because they are all so gorgeous!

I love Shabby Apple, their clothes are so different and beautiful. I want so many of their dresses.

Have a great day everyone!

M.I.A.

Hey Everyone! First, I would like to apologize for the long absences, it has not been intentional. But, after many bruises, scraps and hot hot days, we have finally moved into the new apartment! We are so excited to be starting this new chapter of our lives together. With all that being said, I have my own office/studio! It is great, and I will be taking pictures while I progress through furnishing and decorating.

Now that I have my office, I can make more outfit posts! Here is today's outfit!
